The Answer
John 14:15-16, 23-26
Jesus said to his disciples: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always. “Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. Those who do not love me do not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine but that of the Father who sent me. “I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”

For many of us, we are already Believers. By accepting Jesus into our hearts, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, is in us, too, now. We have God’s Word – we know how this all began and we know how it all will end. And, according to Jesus, we know that we are to simply love God with all of our hearts, minds, and souls and to love others the way that we love God. Simple, but, hard, at times, in this world. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life; He’s the only Answer that we’ll ever need and it’s through loving Him and His Father that we can find our Paths back Home. So, if we’re ever feeling a little lost along our way, we should re-adjust our focus from ourselves (and the cares of this world) to Him. We should Pray. We should read His Book. We should talk about Jesus with others. The Red Letters of the New Testament are Rich in Love and Mercy; and, Grace. If you haven’t made the choice yet to follow Jesus, why not take that step today? He’s always there waiting on all of us…and will Walk with us no matter where we are on our Faith Journey(s).
