Where Iron Sharpens Iron / Proverbs 27:17
During our MAC meeting last night, the subject of the various Christian Faith’s came-up. We shared our different backgrounds, how we were raised, our Spiritual beliefs, and what some of the differences there are between our various Churches. As He always does, God directed me a verse that He wanted to share with all of us. In Ephesians 2:19-20, St. Paul tells us, “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone.” So, we are Family; all of us Believers. Earlier in Ephesians 2:6-9, St. Paul started by telling us that God, “raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.” The bottom line is that we are all Family saved by God through Jesus Christ. And, our Family’s inheritance is eternal and it will shine in all of the ages to come. It matters more that you have Christ in your heart and to be part of His Family than where you attend Church. As Knights and Saints, let us not be distracted by the devil who relishes in getting us to focus sometimes too much on our differences and let’s focus on the Cornerstone and Patriarch of our Family, Jesus Christ.
